Inspired by the vibrant ‘Vino Joven’ wines of the Old World, Young Blood Shiraz bursts onto the scene as a lively, youthful expression of the variety. A short stint in barrel allows its natural structure and varietal purity to shine while preserving freshness and finesse. Crafted with minimal intervention, the fruit undergoes open fermentation with native yeasts, incorporating 30% whole bunches for added complexity. Following a gentle 7-day post-ferment maceration, the wine is basket pressed and matured for six months—half in stainless steel to retain vibrancy, and half in seasoned French oak hogsheads for subtle texture. Brimming with energy, the nose offers spicy bramble and black cherry, lifted by bright raspberry accents. The palate is supple and juicy, with ripe Damson plum and red berry flavours wrapped in fine tannins and a refreshing line of acidity.
