About This Wine:

Aromatically, they captivate with spicy, roasted blueberries, dried cherries, and lifted violet floral notes. The palate delights with nuances of Chinese five spice and Sichuan pepper, while fine feathery tannins intertwine with abundant fruit, culminating in the signature brightness of Tasmanian freshness.

Stargazer marks the solo venture of Samantha Connew, a distinguished winemaker and wine show judge with a wealth of experience. Established in 2012, the name pays homage to Abel Tasman, the first European to sight Tasmania and New Zealand's South Island, where Connew hails from. In 2016, she acquired the Palisander vineyard in Tea Tree, Coal River Valley, and has since expanded it by planting an additional 4 hectares, aiming for 100% estate-grown production. Sustainability and biodiversity are central to Stargazer's ethos, with a blend of bees, chickens, olives, sheep, and native vegetation enriching the landscape. Stargazer wines embody a commitment to terroir expression and complexity through indigenous yeast fermentation.
