Soumah Single Vineyard Upper Ngumby Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a very picky grape. It dislikes heat but enjoys the sun. It prefers well-drained soil and is therefore unsuitable for flat landscapes. It prefers warm days but prefers cooler nights. It is so difficult that only a few Australian regions can hope to produce Pinot Noir of any calibre. The Yarra Valley has earned that reputation over the years, and we have set out to support it by selecting small patches of older wines from various Single Vineyard sites throughout the Valley. Aromas of crushed berries and wild herbs abound, along with hints of spice. Lifted minerality adds length to the palate, while refined oak adds depth and complexity.
