Scorpo Estate Eocene Pinot Noir

Vineyard with 9800 vines per hectare (Scorpo 'Eocene' High Density Vineyard) Abel clone grapes used to make Pinot Noir are hand-picked. 10% entire bunch and 90% destemmed fruit are used in the fermentation of wild yeast in open stainless steel fermenters.   After 20 days, it's pushed out. A few months after the wine is put into 20 percent new French oak barrels, indigenous malolactic fermentation begins.  After 13 months, the wine is unfiltered and unfined and bottled.
