Pt. Leo Estate Chardonnay

Hand-picked fruit was gently pressed whole-bunch into a tank and allowed to settle overnight. It was then moved to French oak Barriques and infected with neutral yeast. The barrels were swirled periodically until MLF was reached in 75% of the mix. The wine remained on yeast lees until bottling. Aromas of fresh lime, lemon, and peach, with a subtle nutty scent. Apricot and floral characters blend with a mild oak finish. The palate exhibits modest flavours that match the aromas while also displaying a delicate steeliness in the middle. Citrus and wood spice aromas combine to create a finish that reflects the vintage's cool character with fresh yet balanced acidity.
