Since its debut in 2005, this exceptional wine has been crafted exclusively from the small Home Vineyard in the hills of Bendigo, Central Otago. The handpicked grapes undergo destemming and fermentation using only indigenous ‘wild’ yeast. A hallmark of its vinification is the extremely low extraction; the small open-top tanks are gently hand-plunged just once during fermentation. The wine then matures for 17 months in barrels (35% new) and undergoes indigenous malolactic fermentation before being bottled unfiltered under Diam cork.
