Mystery Wine Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2023

This winery was created in 1998. Located in the Yarra Valley, near the Toolangi State Forest, this single-site vineyard on excellent clay loam produces wines with unique characteristics, each with a strong sense of place.
The current 2023 vintage was a low-production, high-quality year. This Pinot Noir is vibrant and flavorful, but not overbearing in any way. The mouthfeel is smooth yet somewhat juicy, with flavours of red cherry, plum, and rose petal, as well as subtle spice/nutmeg overtones.
Fine, almost minerally tannins and fine-grained oak combine to provide a smooth structure that enhances the strong fruit flavours. A moderate yet superb finish with lip-smacking acidity.
