MMAD Blewitt Springs Shiraz

Planned in 1941. It's difficult to imagine a better season for the MMAD team's first vintage. The Shiraz was beautifully balanced by the mild ripening conditions. The fruit was hand-picked, 80% destemmed, and fermented in open vats with gentle extraction of whole berries and whole bunches. On the palate, there is old vine concentration and opulence, with notes of mulberry, blackberry, and dark chocolate. Tannins and savoury notes keep the fruit in check, making this wine generous, layered, and complex.
