Michael Hall Piccadilly Pinot Noir

Sourced from the picturesque Gully Road at 550m elevation and the charmingly small Aesctun vineyard at 500m, these Adelaide Hills vineyards reside in an elite group of exceptionally cool climate sites, perfect for cultivating Pinot Noir. Fair winter rains transitioned into a mild summer, resulting in low yields of light yet exceptional quality bunches.

Hand-picked on March 22nd and 28th, the grapes were wild yeast fermented in both closed puncheons and open fermenters, with 38% whole bunches included. The wine was then matured for 11 months in French oak, with 23% being new François Frères barrels. The process was completed unfined, preserving the wine's purest character.
