Michael Hall Flaxmans Valley Syrah

Nestled high in the quaint sub-region of Flaxman’s Valley, the Naimanya vineyard thrives on a unique blend of sandy loam, gravel, and quartz over clay soils. Standing proudly at 520 meters, it is among the loftiest Shiraz vineyards in South Australia. The vineyard benefitted from generous winter rains and a pleasantly cool summer, yielding a robust and exceptional crop. Hand-picked on April 7th, the grapes underwent meticulous processing with 70% destemmed and 30% left as whole bunches. The wine was then pressed into French oak barrels, with 10% being new, and allowed to mature gracefully for 20 months.
