Mapleton Pinot Noir

Nestled near the charming hamlet of Tea Tree in the Coal River Valley Wine Region, Mapleton Vineyard is a family-owned gem, managed by Paul Laing alongside his parents, Denis and Kathryn. The vineyard spans what were once three adjoining properties—Mapleton, Woodlands, and Lynwood. Paul acquired Mapleton in 2004, and after years of envisioning its potential, he and Denis transformed their dream into reality by planting the vineyard in 2014. The site’s gently rolling, north-facing slopes and rich dolomitic soils provide the perfect terroir for exceptional Pinot Noir.

Mapleton Pinot Noir, crafted from mature vines and an array of clones, offers remarkable complexity. It boasts a vibrant dark ruby hue and an enchanting bouquet of violets, cherry, and spiced dark berry compote. The palate is bold and dynamic, with a captivating interplay of juicy primary fruit flavours and layers of spicy, savoury, meaty, and earthy nuances. Classic mid-palate richness, a silky smooth texture, and finely integrated tannins culminate in an expansive, lingering finish, showcasing the essence of premium Pinot Noir.
