About This Wine:

Le Brun de Neuville has been built around a history of men and women: winegrower families with a common desire to equip themselves with effective tools, so that their knowledge — combined with the rich product of their terroir — enables them to produce Champagnes of the highest quality.
The Le Brun family lives in the village of Bethon in the Marne, close to the town of Sézanne. Madame Le Brun, who possessed the castle in 1845, is still remembered today. The noble heiress of the Château de Bethon, Madame de Reviers, one of the House's founders, is credited with giving the house its name.

A rich, culinary Champagne created with Chardonnay grapes cultivated responsibly in the Cote de Sézanne. Whereas their 'Cote Blanche' represents parcels from all over the area, this is a single parcel named 'Le Chemin Empreinté' that is partly vinified in wood to give the wine a toasty flavour. Furthermore, the secondary fermentation takes occur beneath cork (rather than the more common crown cap), allowing for the gradual intrusion of oxygen throughout the lees-ageing process. It retains the brilliant citrous character of a Blanc de Blancs while also displaying subtle flavours of flaky pastry and biscuit crumb. 12% alc. 4 g per litre RS. 25% of the wine is reserved. 30% of the wine was aged in wood barrels. Base wine from 2017. Drink now through 2028.
