Imbue Distillery Angel's Share Bourbon Cask Strength Whisky 43% 500ml

The Angel's Share in Whisky has a centuries-long tradition dating back to the Mediaeval era. During the ageing process, alcohol evaporates into the air and fragrances the distillery, which is thought to be an offering to the angels. Over the ages, the Angel's Share has become a significant component of the whisky-making process. This single malt has been matured for three years in a Rye Solera barrel that formerly held Bourbon. We deliberately sliced the spirit and allowed the water to absorb the essence of the wood so that the spirit is not "shocked" during its final bottling cut. The ruse whisky has smells of banana, eucalyptus, leather polish, and mild caramel. Green orchard fruits, a sprinkle of black pepper, and passionfruit acidity sustain the tongue, culminating in flavours of delicious vanilla custard with lengthy, lingering spice.
