About This Wine:

Colour: Medium red with a vibrant purple hue.

Aroma: Brambly blueberry, black cherry, dried herbs, and earthy notes.

Palate: Sarsaparilla and forest fruits, supported by exceptionally soft and fully ripe tannins.

This vivid example of Mourvèdre is a ‘Selection Massale’, cuttings taken from our 1853 Old Garden Vineyard, renowned as the world’s oldest Mourvèdre vineyard. Ensuring a continuation of the 1853 Mourvèdre legacy, Selection Massale is a traditional way of propagating from exceptional vineyards. Commencing this planting in 1998 these new vines are literally babies from the parent Old Garden and, in Australia, untrellised vines are called bush vines, hence the name Baby Bush. These new vines take the pedigree of the world’ oldest Mourvèdre and are imbued with the vibrancy and bold confidence of youth – Dean Hewitson
