Georges Deschamps Chablis

The Georges Deschamps label honours the third generation of the Vrignaud family, with the fifth-generation winemaker, Guillaume, at the helm. An independent producer in Chablis, the estate has been organic since 2009, earning certification in 2012.

Gently harvested and whole-bunch pressed, this wine undergoes a long, natural fermentation in stainless steel. It spends around 12 months on lees, followed by another 12 months aging in stainless steel. Lightly fined with bentonite and filtered with minimal SO2 before bottling, it reflects meticulous craftsmanship.

The wine opens with perfumed fruit, wrapped in a pleasantly reductive nose, featuring biscuity cracked yeast notes and a touch of funk. On the palate, it delivers a deliciously long, fine, and mineral-driven experience with outstanding texture, precise structure, and impressive length. The élevage shines through, providing that essential mid-palate weight, making this wine an absolute pleasure to drink.
