Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir

The innovative gravity flow winery allows grapes to be gently destemmed directly into open-top fermenters without pumping, retaining 20% as whole clusters. Traditional fermentation with moderately long maceration on skins extracts excellent colour, tannin, and deep flavour. The wine then ages for 13 months in 25% new French oak barrels from artisan Burgundian coopers. Adhering to our non-interventionist winemaking philosophy, this wine undergoes fermentation with indigenous yeast and malolactic fermentation and is neither fined nor filtered.

On the nose, this wine offers quintessential Felton Road aromas: dark roses and violets, ethereal and lively. The palate opens with a savoury note, showcasing lovely fruit without a hint of New World sweetness. Firm tannins convey seriousness without harshness, while subtle herbal tones add freshness and intrigue. This is a classic expression from our four Bannockburn vineyards, embodying both elegance and complexity.
