Nestled amidst gravelly soils and embraced by the towering native Jarrah trees, this vineyard boasts a symbiotic relationship with nature, where the presence of Jarrah serves as a precise indicator of ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon cultivation.
The fruits harvested from this esteemed site unveil a symphony of flavors, including delicate violets, luscious cassis, and the alluring essence of mulberry. Indeed, the mulberry's distinctive charm adds a unique dimension to the terroir expression of Margaret River Cabernet, paying homage to our local heritage clone. In a nod to this singular mulberry character, we aptly christen this cuvée "Morus Australis," drawing from the genus and species name of the mulberry tree itself.
