Curly Flat Estate Pinot Noir

Crafted from eleven distinct parcels, the Estate Pinot Noir showcases a remarkable diversity of clones, soils, and microclimates. Each block was meticulously managed to enhance its unique site expression. Fermentation was driven by indigenous yeasts, with varied amounts of whole bunch, extended skin contact, and tailored oak treatment, all chosen to highlight the character of each lot. Together, these elements create an exceptionally complex Pinot Noir, where fragrant spices and vibrant red fruits intertwine with deeper, darker fruit notes and savoury layers. A tapestry of vineyard tannins, woven with delicate oak influence, enhances the wine’s elegant length and mineral precision. After 16 months of maturation, the final blend incorporated 6% whole bunch and 17% new oak and was bottled unfiltered.

This Pinot is a masterful expression of cool-climate viticulture, offering exquisite fragrance, intricate depth, supple texture, and a bright thread of refreshing mineral acidity.
