Curly Flat Estate Chardonnay

Harvested in the cool morning air, Chardonnay from three distinct vineyard blocks was whole-bunch-pressed before resting in the tank. The following day, the cloudy juice was transferred to the barrel, where natural yeasts initiated fermentation in a mix of 300- and 500-litre barrels. Over the months, the wine was gently stirred, and after completing 100% malolactic fermentation (MLF), minimal sulphur was added in late spring. With 28% new oak and minimal filtration, this Chardonnay unveils a captivating trio of lush aromatics, expansive flavour depth, and a fine, lingering mineral finish.
