Churchview The Bartondale Shiraz

Fermented with a Rhône-style yeast, this wine undergoes a meticulous aging process—some undergoing malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, while the rest matures for 18 months in French oak puncheons and barriques. Only the finest barrels are selected for The Bartondale, ensuring exceptional quality. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it rests for a further 12 months before release.

Aromatic layers of ripe red and black currants intertwine with exotic Moroccan spices and hints of vanilla from carefully chosen new oak. Silky tannins and plush, rounded fruit lend the wine its refined elegance, striking a perfect balance between savoury depth and vibrant fruit. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a whisper of delicate spice on the palate.
