Castagna Beechworth Chardonnay

An elegant and intricately layered Chardonnay shaped by Beechworth’s granitic soils and Castagna’s biodynamic philosophy. Wild-yeast fermented in French oak (a portion new) and matured on lees, it’s a wine that balances tension with texture, purity with quiet complexity.

The nose opens with white peach, Meyer lemon and nectarine, evolving into hints of hazelnut, struck flint and fine brioche. The palate is poised and finely structured—sleek and linear with a cool, mineral thread running through. Subtle oak and creamy lees influence bring depth without excess, allowing the fruit and site to speak with clarity.

A refined and expressive Chardonnay, confident in its restraint and compelling in its detail. This is Beechworth at its most articulate.
