Bloody Hill Villages Coldstream Chardonnay

Bloody Hill serves as the second label for renowned Yarra Valley winemaker Timo Mayer. Timo and his son Rivar collaborate on crafting these wines, personally selecting fruit and partnering with growers they've cultivated relationships with over the years. Notably, Rivar has introduced new plantings on the Mayer estate dedicated to Bloody Hill, and we eagerly anticipate their maturation! Starting from the 2020 vintage, the label now includes "Villages," reflecting the sourced fruit from chosen sites across the Yarra Valley.

Rivar Ferguson-Mayer's Yarra Valley Chardonnay is a delightful take on the varietal. Sourced from a property with a Bress legacy, this elegant wine is crafted with minimal intervention. Like all Bloody Hill wines, it emphasizes freshness and easy-drinking allure in its youth. Cool and fleshy, it concludes with a crisp, clean finish, offering a modern expression of the Yarra Valley by a promising young winemaker.
