About This Wine:

Derived from a meticulous selection of estate-grown fruit sourced from our esteemed vineyards, spanning from the venerable vines planted in 1976 to the more recent plantings in 2007, Bannockburn Pinot Noir epitomizes the essence of terroir and tradition. From the historic Olive Tree Hill to the modern allure of De La Terre, each vineyard parcel, including 10 Rows, Stuart Block, and Anns Block, contributes its distinctive character, reflecting a diverse clonal mix featuring MV6, 114, 115, and 777.

Handpicked with care, the fruit undergoes a wild fermentation process, with approximately 20% undergoing whole bunch fermentation, incorporating a portion of carbonic maceration for added complexity. Following gentle pressing, the wine finds sanctuary in a selection of hogsheads and puncheons, with a subtle 20% new oak influence. Maturation unfolds over 10 months, undisturbed, before the final blending and bottling stage.

In the glass, Bannockburn Pinot Noir unveils an enchanting bouquet, exuding a symphony of fresh, vibrant red fruits alongside nuanced notes of macerated fruit, spice, and alluring autumnal nuances. The palate mirrors this vibrancy, with lively, energetic flavours of red and spiced fruits dancing gracefully, supported by supple tannins and culminating in a refreshing finish. The mouthfeel is a testament to elegance and complexity, effortlessly balancing freshness with layers of enjoyment, inviting indulgence with every sip.
