Banks Thargo Coonawarra Merlot

Banks Thargo Wines is located on the South Eastern side of Coonawarra. Established in 1989, the vineyard, which surrounds the picturesque Penola Racecourse, has plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot. A small family owned vineyard in Coonawarra, Jonathon and Heather Kidman have a very "hands on" approach in growing and producing their wines. This Merlot Opens with inviting aromas of ripe plum and blueberries with gentle toasty oak in support. The palate delivers generous red and blue fruit flavours held nicely in balance by just the right amount of acidity and a deft dab of gentle tannin for structure.
