Balgownie Estate Premium Cuvee Sparkling Brut

A blend of Chardonnay drawn from our vineyards in the Yarra Valley and Bendigo. The berries were hand-harvested at the optimal balance of fruit and acid and were immediately transported to the winery for processing. The wine was partially fermented in seasoned oak barrel and partially in stainless steel tanks with 30% undergoing extended lees contact to increase the complexity in the finished wine.

Bright and lifted aromas of pear, citrus and new season apples with hints of guava and passion fruit and a touch of toasty brioche character. It has a lovely fine bead and an elegant crisp finish. Cellaring is not necessary but will continue to develop through next year.
