About This Wine:

Of the 5 hectares within the esteemed Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet vineyard, Bader Mimeur claims ownership of 2 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of Pinot Noir. Known as 'Champ Derriere' on the Chassagne map, this parcel is situated behind the Chateau, embodying a sense of rustic charm.

The Pinot Noir vines, ranging from 55 to 80 years old, are meticulously tended by hand, ensuring optimal quality. Following harvest, the grapes undergo a precise process: 100% destemming, fermentation in wooden open-top vats, and a maceration period of 2 to 3 weeks. Afterward, the wine is transferred to barrels, with 25% being new, for 12 months of aging. It is then moved to tanks for an additional 6 months before bottling.

This Pinot Noir exudes strength and character, with a robust profile enriched by deep forest notes and earthy undergrowth. As the fragrance unfolds, it gradually unveils the essence of cherries and blackberries in their purest form. Despite its firm structure, the wine possesses a delicate intricacy that is both enchanting and profound, offering a mesmerizing sensory experience.
