A Gere Olaszrizling

In Hungary, a grape variety has become an integral part of everyday life: Olaszrizling, known globally as Welschriesling. As one of Hungary’s most widely planted white grape varieties, it is cherished for its versatility and approachable wines.

Despite the name's nod to Riesling, Olaszrizling is not related to the renowned Riesling variety. The term "Olasz" means "Italian" in Hungarian, and historically, both Italian and Welsh were used to describe something foreign or originating from afar.

Organic Olaszrizling at its finest, sourced from the venerable 40-year-old vines of the Vokány plot in Nagyharsány. This wine is a delightful symphony of aromas, offering a fresh and inviting experience. It boasts abundant notes of ripe apple, pear, citrus, and stone fruits. Its character is defined by a perfect balance of rich, warm aromas and excellent acidity. The 3 grams of residual sugar are barely noticeable, yet they enhance the wine's smoothness, making it irresistibly easy to enjoy glass after glass.
