Jonata pays homage to the 1845 Spanish land grant, Rancho San Carlos de Jonata, which once covered much of the Santa Ynez Valley. Today, Jonata stands at the heart of this historic land. The name Jonata, borrowed by the first pioneers from the local Chumash language, means “tall oak.”
Located within the greater Santa Ynez Valley appellation, the Ballard Canyon AVA is one of California’s Central Coast's most notable emerging locations. Jonata’s sandy site, combined with the team's winegrowing expertise, has produced results that are widely recognized as the finest from this region.
Todos, as always, showcases the most exotic, complex, and compelling aromatics in the lineup. The bouquet is highlighted by black truffle, jasmine, five spice, black pepper, and clove. The palate is driven by dried blueberry, Mission fig, and aged balsamic, with hints of dried tobacco, mint, and baking chocolate, all enveloped by velvety black fruit. This wine boasts extreme power, yet maintains a delicate and proportional balance.
Blend: 44% Syrah, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Sirah, 10% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc.
