Barbanera Puglia Nero di Troia

Nero di Troia is an ancient Mediterranean red grape with uncertain origins that is presently produced extensively in Puglia, Italy. Nero contains rich berry tastes and violet notes and is frequently used in mixes. The monovarietal Barbanera is full-bodied, with smooth tannins and flavors of cherry jam, blueberry, plum, exotic spice, and violets. It doesn't require any accompaniment, however, it would go well with substantial red-meat meals.
